Release Schedule Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin

With the first Alpha release for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS testers around the world, Canonical decided to change the official release schedule for upcoming Pangolin distribution right and remove the Release Candidate!

Of the official schedule release of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Release Candidate seems, is supposed to be released on 19 April 2012, no longer present. Now this is the current release schedule for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Pangolin Precise):

December 1, 2011 - Alpha 1 release
February 2, 2012 - Alpha 2 release
March 1, 2012 - Beta 1 release
March 22, 2012 - Beta 2 release
26 April 2012 - the final release of Ubuntu 12.04

Looks like there is another development version is affected by the elimination of Release Candidate Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, and the date for final release of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS remains intact - 26 April 2012.

Be a LTS release, Ubuntu 12.04 will have a minimum of four regular maintenance releases. The first, Ubuntu 12.04.1, to be released on August 16, 2012, the second, Ubuntu 12.04.2, to be released on February 7, 2013; the third, Ubuntu 12.04.3, will see the light of day somewhere in the middle of summer 2013 , and the latter, Ubuntu 12.04.4, on January 24, 2014.
